The stores where you can find JDM scale models in Tokyo, to bring home a collector's souvenir.
There are lots of scale model shops in Tokyo, in 1/43 as well as 1/64. Some you'll come across without even looking, others are definitely worth the detour.
Everywhere, without even looking
You can find scale models pretty much everywhere, for example at Bic Camera: there's often a section dedicated to Tomica cars and model kits. There are Bic Camera stores all over the city, so no need to plan a special trip, just keep your eyes open while you wander around.
For collectors: Ken Box and Ken Box B2F
If you're looking for more specialized shops, head to Shinjuku for Ken Box and Ken Box B2F. You'll find Tomica, garages and cars far more detailed than anywhere else. A word of warning though: finding your gem can get expensive fast, some pieces reach high prices. You can easily go just to browse, or treat yourself if you fall in love with something.
